One version number for every part, where each part shows it, and what the warning means when the Studio and the platform differ.
Every part of Live Producer carries the same version number: the Studio, the platform, the prompter, the remote, and the camera and sound devices for calls. They are released together, so two parts at different versions is something to notice and fix.

When the Studio and the platform differ
Section titled “When the Studio and the platform differ”While you are signed in, Settings › Account shows a Version line such as “Studio 0.295 · Platform 0.295”. When the two differ, the line turns orange with a warning sign. Update the older one: install the newer Studio, or ask whoever runs your platform to update it. “Platform older” means the platform is from before version numbers.
