The show's position, reported by the Mac that runs it: On air, Next, and 'You are next' for a contributor.
Live status is what the platform shows while a show runs: which part is on air and which one is next. The Mac that runs the show reports it; the web only shows it.
Where it comes from
Section titled “Where it comes from”A Mac running Live Producer Studio sends the show’s position to the platform when the show is linked to a web show and its clock runs. It reports when the part on air or the next part changes, and every ten seconds while the show runs. Nothing on the web can change what the Mac puts on air. See Run the show.
What you see
Section titled “What you see”| Where | Shows |
|---|---|
| The Shows page | The stage On air, with how many minutes the show is in. The On air filter lists these shows. |
| The show editor’s header | On air: and the part’s title, then Next: and the next part’s title. |
| The rundown list | The rows of the part on air and the next part, marked. |
The page updates by itself; you don’t reload it.
“You are next”
Section titled ““You are next””A contributor whose part comes next sees You are next: in place of Next:. They know to get ready without anyone telling them.
When it stops
Section titled “When it stops”A show counts as on air only while the latest report says the clock runs and is less than two minutes old. If the Mac stops the show, quits or goes offline, the stage goes back to Published or Done.
